We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bakery Sales & Service member to join our thriving sourdough bakery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling our delicious artisan bread, and crafting top-quality barista coffee. We are looking for a friendly, customer-oriented individual who is passionate about all things bread and coffee.
• Warmly greet and engage with customers, providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Promote and sell our wide range of sourdough breads and other bakery products
• Take and prepare customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness and serve people in our seating area
• Craft high-quality barista coffee and other beverages, consistently adhering to our recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety guidelines and company procedures
• Continually expand your knowledge of our products, ingredients, and techniques to better inform and serve customers
• Assist with inventory management, restocking, and product rotation as needed
• Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve collective goals and ensure smooth operations
• Previous experience in a bakery, cafe, or similar retail setting preferred
• Barista experience and knowledge of various coffee brewing techniques preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• A passion for bread, coffee, and providing outstanding customer service
After we received your application as a candidate, we will sort all application and if selected, invite you for interviews either on-site or via Zoom. There is a series of interviews with the department head and 2 other people from the hotel to get to know you and your interest in working with us.
We are doing everything to minimize split shifts, to completely get rid of them is not possible for us yet. However we aim for an average of only 2 split shifts per month in some of the gastronomy positions, in all other positions we could already find solutions to not have them!
Sure! We are are always excited to get to know interesting people, and who knows maybe there is an opening we did not post yet!
We do have some studios and apartments we can sublet and if we do not have any left we are strongly supporting the search and renting of an accommodation to make your transition to Zermatt as easy as possible!
