Our sourdough bakery exists to bring quality, gut-friendly bread to our guests and community:

We’re looking for an experienced sourdough baker that will bake in our bakery that focuses on organic and local grains and produce. Help us to showcase real quality of bread and hereby take care and build on the community around us.

What you do:

  • Hand shaping and managing doughs
  • Use your creativity to support the shaping of the offering
  • Mixing of doughs / operation of mixers
  • Managing the temperature of rooms and doughs and leavens
  • Managing the timing of doughs, mixing, folding, scaling, proving, baking etc
  • Maintenance of a high standard of quality
  • Ensuring a consistent production outcome
  • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
  • General duties and cleaning at end of session
  • Liaison with the Executive Chef Thomas

Who you are:

Most importantly you join with a positive attitude and are a dedicated knowledgeable baker, you have worked and experimented with sourdough and understand its challenges and quality outcomes. You have strong organizational skills and focus on quality control, meaning no bad bread leaves your bakery.
