COVID-19 friendly cancellation add-ons

We understand that the current situation can make it difficult to plan ahead. Guided by our purpose of care and by listening to our guests, we have extended our cancellation policies to provide further flexibility, to help you make your travel decisions easier.

Neglecting what rate you book the following applies:

1. In the unfortunate event where a person in the party traveling is being tested positive for coronavirus, we can instantly cancel the booking and refund the whole booking if wished. This can only be done from our side, when a document stating the positive case is provided to us from a doctor directly.

2. It is very clear to us that in any case the Zermatt destination would close down for tourism (f.e ski-lifts) or would be completely inaccessible to you (lockdown). We will allow cancellation with full refund. However, any other cases such as "government recommendations without travel ban" cannot be cancelled from our side and we recommend a travel insurance in such case.

In any other cases for example "quarantine without Covid" we recommend a travel insurance from your side as the cancellation rules related to the rate that has been booked apply. For all our guests who still are unsure for such cases, we recommend booking one of our flexible rates for or have a travel insurance. This rules apply from the 01.11.2020. More Flexible rates on high season weeks

Further we have decided to create new rates with more flexible cancellation policies than in previous years, especially on high season weeks where flexibility previously wasn't possible. This should help you keep the necessary flexibility in your planning if wished so.
